Palos Verdes Flag Football Divisions

CO-ED FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE:

Division 6/7: Open for boys or girls aged 6 and 7 years old - generally 1st and 2nd graders

Division 8/9: Open for boys or girls aged 8 and 9 years old - generally 3rd and 4th graders

Division 10/11: Open for boys or girls aged 10 and 11 years old - generally 5th and 6th graders

Division 12/13/14: Open for boys or girls aged 12 and 13 years old - generally 7th and 8th graders

All divisions must be at least six (6) years of age as of 9/1/24 to start playing. A child can play at 14 years, but only if he/she is in 8th grade.  Players must not be in a grade higher than 8th grade.  A child can NOT “play down a division” no matter the circumstance. We generally do not allow 5-year-olds to play no matter their grade.  Please contact the PV Flag Athletic Director at infopvflagfootball@gmail.com before you sign up your 5-year-old.  We make every effort to keep kids in the same grade in the same age division.  

ALL GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE:

Mavericks Girls Flag Football-the ALL GIRLS flag football program returns to PV for its 2nd year!  Since this is still a new program, the divisions will be fluid.  Depending on enrollment numbers, players will learn football fundamentals & play scrimmages or teams will be formed & games played.  The Girls Flag Football League is open to third through eighth graders.

All players must show proof of age via birth certificate which will be uploaded during the registration process.  Once your child's birth certificate is uploaded via the registration process, you will not have to show proof of age again in this league.

**Note: The League reserves the right to merge age groups or cancel a division if we have low registration in a specific division.
